Programme Description

If you are looking to study Theology in a structured academic manner, the Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies (GCTS) is a good starting point.

During the course of the programme, you will explore how to interpret Biblical texts; gain understanding of Christian History; apply theology in your everyday life; and form your own set of beliefs, values, and way of life that reflect the teachings of the Bible.

While the theological training you will undergo involves some level of academic rigour, you will be guided along by our lecturers as well as other helpful resources to make your learning journey meaningful and enjoyable.

Graduates of GCTS will have an introductory knowledge of Scripture and Christian Tradition (including Spiritual Discernment), acquire competencies in Theological Studies and be able to draw insights from these to grow in Christlikeness.

The GCTS is right for you if:

    *For CS102, as each student shall receive one-on-one mentoring from a Spiritual Mentor, the fee for this 1.5 credit course is S$600

Admission Pre-requisites

  • Possess Cambridge GCE A-level or polytechnic diploma.

  • English proficiency will be considered for international students : TOEFL Required Scores: • Paper-based = 550 points • Computer-based = 213 points • Internet-based = 78 points | IELTS Required Score: 6

  • Personal and spiritual aspects of the applicant will be considered.

I liked having the flexibility to do the required readings and write the necessary assignments at my own pace. Graduation Requirements:
GCTS Certificate of Completion

  • Submitted a completed Application for Graduation form to the Registrar’s Office by March 31st of the year they wish to graduate in

  • Satisfactorily completed all requirements (12 Credits) for the programme by April 30th of the year they wish to graduate in

  • Attained a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8

  • No outstanding payments to BGST
