Programme Description

The Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies (GDCS) is designed for those looking for broad theological training, and those considering a master programme in the future.

As a GDCS graduate, you will be equipped with a foundational knowledge of Scripture (including Hermeneutics and Interpretation), Christian Tradition (including Theology, History, and Spiritual Discernment), and Interdisciplinary Studies. You will also be equipped to draw insights to grow in your faith, and discern your calling in the Church and the Marketplace.

While the theological training you will undergo involves some level of academic rigour, you will be guided along by our lecturers as well as other helpful resources to make your learning journey meaningful and enjoyable.

The GDCS is right for you if:

  • You want a comprehensive foundational programme to increase your knowledge of the Christian faith.

  • You are finding ways to reflect theologically, grow spiritually and integrate your faith with areas of work and living.

  • You are exploring ways to integrate your faith in the context of your culture and society.

Testimonials

Paul Yeo, GDCS Graduate

What I like the most about the BGST Graduate Diploma programme is Blended Learning. Lectures are available online for me to listen to repeatedly and this flexibility to tap on learning content either while commuting or at home provide me with learning at my own pace and time.  "Live" sessions are also free up for engaging discussions with lecturers and classmates, and these sessions really clarify and supplement the recorded lectures.
