Programme Description

The Master of Arts in Theology and Integrative Studies (MATIS) covers broad-based training and is designed for students looking to deepen their theological learning.

Students will learn to nurture themselves and others in Christlikeness to live out their calling in the Church and the marketplace.

MATIS graduates will be competent in engaging Scripture, Christian Tradition (including Spiritual Discernment) and Integrative Studies.

    *For CS102, as each student shall receive one-on-one mentoring from a Spiritual Mentor, the fee for this 1.5 credit course is S$600

Minimum Qualifications &
Admission Pre-requisites

  • A BGST Certificate or BGST Graduate Diploma with a minimum average grade of B minus (B-).

  • A Bachelor degree from a recognised institution or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Those who do not possess a first degree may take a BGST class for audit or credit before deciding to enter into a programme.

  • English proficiency will be considered for international students : TOEFL Required Scores: • Paper-based = 550 points • Computer-based = 213 points • Internet-based = 78 points | IELTS Required Score: 6

  • Personal and spiritual aspects of the applicant will be considered.

Graduation Requirements

  • Submitted a completed Application for Graduation form to the Registrar’s Office by March 31st of the year they wish to graduate in.

  • Satisfactorily completed all requirements (90 Credits) for the programme by April 30th of the year they wish to graduate in.

  • Attained a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

  • No outstanding payments to BGST.
