Course Description

If you have been wondering how you as a children’s ministry or Sunday School teacher can be more effective in your ministry with today’s children and be able to engage them in God’s Word more creatively so that they will be so impacted and will desire more of God, then this course is for you.


By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Understand the “Four Cs” of 21st Century Education.

2. Explain the essential elements of an effective teaching-learning process.

3. Use creative and relevant resources including the appropriate use of interactive Web tools like Zoom, Mentimeter, Kahoot, Pigeon Hole, etc as means of engagement to teach God’s Word to children in the 4-14 window generation in this post COVID-19 world.

4. Deliver a good Bible lesson/Message to a selected age-group based on the creative lesson plan model and creative resources taught or shown.

Mr David Leong

Associate Lecturer

Mr David Leong is a much sought-after itinerant Children & Families Educator. He has some 30 years of experience in ministering to children, young people, parents and teachers both in the Christian as well as non-Christian communities. David Leong who has a Master of Christian Studies (M.C.S.) degree from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada, is an engaging, animated, lively and humorous instructor. The Lord has used him to equip many children ministry teachers in Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, England, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia (East & West), Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam. He and his wife, Cynthia, who was a church-based kindergarten principal for 12 years, have three lovely adult children - Ivan, Alyssa and Dorlisa.
